Mumbai, April 28: Call them typical potboilers or sheer sloppy family dramas but KJo’s love for good life has often translated into onscreen opulence, creating some of the most magnificent visual treats. And the magic weaver’s love for grandness is not just limited to spectacular sets but also to bringing some of the most high-powered top guns together time and again.

After treating the cinema goers to the super hit jodi of Amitabh and Shah Rukh, the taskmaster is all geared up to bring Bollywood powerhouses- Kareena and Kajol together again.

The lissome beauties, who were last seen in Karan’s ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’, way back in 2001, have reportedly given a nod to star in his next venture that is touted to be a remake of Hollywood blockbuster ‘Stepmom’.

Confirming the news a daily quoted a source as saying, “Kajol and Kareena have been finalised for Karan Johar’s forthcoming film, which will start once the actors are free from their on-going films.”

Famous for casting his friends that include some of the top rank holders in Bollywood, KJo has never felt the need to look beyond his highflying circle. Same goes for this one, the multi-tasker was working with Kajol when the idea struck him.

“Karan, who is directing Kajol in ‘My Name Is Khan’ is very happy with her work. The same holds true for Kareena, who is working opposite Saif Ali Khan in a project directed by Rensil D’Silva,” said the source.

Here’s hoping that the triple K combo—Karan, Kajol and Kareena are able to create some charisma and not another drab of a film.

Bollywood Bebo Kareena Kapoor always wanted to work with ‘Jab We Met’ director Imtiaz Ali again. Now, she has got her wish fulfilled in a roundabout way. Bebo didn’t mince words in expressing her disappointment when Imtiaz signed Deepika Padukone opposite Saif Ali Khan for the actor’s first production venture Love Aaj Kal . Ever since Imtiaz brought out Kareena’s best in Jab We Met , she’s been looking for reasons and excuses to work with the director.

One such reason popped up recently when Bebo was approached to shoot an ad for a snacks company. Reports say Kareena not just proposed but insisted that Imtiaz direct her in this ad. Lo and behold! Imtiaz was roped in as per Kareena’s wishes.

Reports say the ad is to be shot in Punjab and will have a setting very similar to the backdrop of ‘Jab We Met’. It will have Kareena dressed up as a feisty Punjabi kudi in suit and salwar, cavorting through the mustard fields.
